A note from the Rector

Dear Friends,

Spring is a lovely time of the year with nature coming back to life, with new growth and signs of new life. The days are getting longer and we are privileged to be living, surrounded by beautiful countryside and closer to God’s creation. The coming of Spring reminds us of the coming of Easter and the new life we have through faith in Jesus Christ.

Soon we celebrate Easter. Why? The reason is clear. The Cross and Resurrection constitute a defining moment in human history and a weekend that has changed the world. The world has never been the same since that first Good Friday and Easter morning. I wonder if we have ever considered that because of the Easter events the following statements are true.....

1. In the meaningless of life a reason for living can be found.

2. In the depth of despair there is someone who can lift us up.

3. In the darkness of death there is comfort for the hurting.

4. In the loneliness of suffering there is some one who understands.

5. The Cross of Christ and His Resurrection deal with greatest problem and problems facing the human race.

Such convictions are meaningless without Easter. They are as empty as the inside of an caster egg if Jesus Christ did not die and they are utterly misguided if the Resurrection did not take place. Enjoy our Easter services in the knowledge that the Risen Christ IS with us. Celebrate and give thanks for all He has done.

The children are looking forward to their Easter holidays, so there will be plenty of opportunity for them to enjoy the longer evenings and more time to play outside.

May God bless you and your family this Easter!

God bless, Robert.
