Parish of Langfield Union

Dear Friends,

Hope you are all keeping well and staying safe. With the ongoing lockdown the parish has decided to introduce a facility where parishioners can use online banking to set up standing orders to contribute to the church. Those of us who are familiar with online banking can use mobile phone apps or computers to easily transfer money from one account to another as a means of paying bills.

We realise that many people in our parish would not be familiar with online banking so we would ask you instead to save up your envelopes Sunday by Sunday until the church reopens.

In the present time some people have been laid off or put on furlough and many businesses are facing financial problems particularly in the catering and tourist sector, so income can be uncertain for many people so we ask only to give what you can afford.

The ministry of the church is continuing with a parish Facebook site set up, a WhatsApp and iMessage groups. Sermons are published online, and the parish website is fully integrated into the Facebook page and through these means and phone calls we are able to keep in touch with each other and carry on ministry with each other. Ministry involves all the people of the parish.

To set up online banking here are the details: Please pay to the account of “Parish of Langfield Union”, Sort Code 95-04-07, Account No: 31017853. The Bank’s Name is Danske Bank, P.O. Box 183, Donegall Square West, Belfast, BT1 6JS

When you are referencing this transaction, we suggest that you put the first letter of your Christian name first, then your surname and finally your envelope number. This would be the format J Bloggs 123, so James when he is doing the books will easily know who you are.

If you have any queries or questions about this letter, please feel free to either telephone or E-Mail me at rkeogh10@hotmail.co.uk or 81679774 or James at 07703 817493.

Yours Sincerely, Signed: Robert Keogh  and  James Harpur
